What Is Respite Care?

Respite Care is the temporary care of an individual with special needs in order to provide support to the family unit.

Respite Connections, Inc. is certified by the Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities to provide an array of support services.

Community and Weekend Respite Care

Experts on Respite Care.

Respite Connections, Inc. (RCI) lends a caring hand for specialized needs, not only for the individuals but for the entire family.

This temporary relief for caregivers provides the foundation for support that is critical to family stability and growth.

RCI also helps individuals at risk for abuse and neglect. RCI provides education and fun to its services in a professional, supportive and friendly manner.

It is RCI's goal to assist all clients and their families with living a life to their greatest potential.

Adult Day Services

Individual and group programs
help individuals reach their full potential.

All staff are fluent in American Sign Language.

We provide social, recreational, vocational and habilitation activities for adults with severe mental health, behavioral and developmental disabilities, both hearing and Deaf.

Services are provided in our newly renovated Strawberry Farms location and our 3300 Refugee Rd. location.
Monday–Saturday: 8am–4pm

Supportive Living

Supportive living means individualized care and support for successful community living. RCI provides support services to hearing and Deaf individuals with developmental disabilities as well as individuals with a dual diagnosis to live happy, healthy and productive lives in their own homes and chosen communities.

Kid's Kamp

We are proud to offer a
therapeutic day camp to our special needs youth!

Kid's Kamp is a very structured program that helps develop individual's skills in a fun and active environment.

Individuals who attend this program are encouraged to participate in all kinds of activities that promote teamwork and much more all while maintaining a positive and healthy environment.

The Kid's Kamp schedule is for both indoor and outdoor activities. These activities are designed to foster physical strength, balance and agility based on the abilities of the attendees.

RCI takes great pride in our Kid's Kamp program. By helping boost self-esteem and confidence, this seasonal program impacts individuals for a lifetime.

Counseling Services

Individualized counseling to assist
individuals to live happy and satisfying lives.

RCI provides individualized counseling for adults with a license social worker who is fluent in sign language.

Goals and objectives for counseling are developed by individuals and promote healthy means of interacting and dealing with daily challenges.

Supported Employment Services

Hiring individuals with disabilities is good business.

RCI is a supported employment provider, a partner with the Employment First Initiative and a recipient of a Community Development Block Grant through HUD to develop community employment for individuals with developmental disabilities.

RCI assists with the sourcing, hiring, training and coaching qualified individuals for community employment.

RCI also supports businesses in making accessibility and job accommodations for employees who are disabled.

  3. Provide a client friendly, strengths based approach to working with individuals in order to meet their specific needs.
